Initiative for Equality and Non Discrimination (INEND) exists in order to influence policies and practice amongst institutions, leaders and individuals for more proactive protection of the rights of sexual and gender minorities. We believe that through a combination of evidence-based advocacy, consistent and strategic communication using key media platforms, as well as on-going dialogue, and capacity building of key stakeholders, we will be able to influence attitudes and practice.
In our current strategy, our priorities include: (a)Violence prevention and rights protection that further focuses on (i) Policy advocacy with an outcome of having in place progressive and inclusive policies and institutions focused on addressing violence targeting Sexual and Gender Minorities (ii) Community engagement with an outcome of an established network of unusual allies among key stakeholders to advance non discrimination and equality for Sexual Gender Minorities. (b) Centre for Knowledge and Leadership with a focus is to enhance the capacity of civil society organizations (CSOs) by offering purposeful training and diverse knowledge transfer methods, tailored to specific groups, ultimately fostering the growth of more proficient, accountable, and effective entities, and (c) Organisational sustainability with an outcome of sustainable value-based organization with efficient systems and structures that centers #TeamINEND wellbeing.
